Dec 5-9 & Dec 12-19 continued
Your child now knows how to create a QR code of the presentation they have created. These codes will eventually be printed and placed on the 3D dimensional model being created this week. Models are due Dec 19th.
Students have begun collaborating and building their 3-Dimensioal models of the Native American Village they studied. They have been given a rubric outlining all the details and expectations. They are to use the rubric to guide their instruction. An assessment will be given the week of Dec 19th. Please let me know if your child will not be here for any reason that way we can have him or her take the test before the holiday break.
Examples of materials; (sticks/twigs for long houses, grass/toothpicks for wigwams, Elemers glue, yards, figurines, etc.)
Keys will be used to explain the materials, therefore it is okay to use materials that are not organic
Students will use the models and slide presenations to take an assessment of all tribes.
Our models and QR codes will be placed in the library the week of Dec 19-23. Assessments will be taken during that week. Please feel free to stop in to view the models once they are complete. An email will be sent out with open times in the media center to view the models. An ipad cart will also be available to view presenations. If you choose to use your Iphone to scan the code, it will not work if you have google slides downloaded onto your phone. We are currently trying to correct this issue. So for now, feel free to borrow an ipad to scan the QR code and view the presentations.
H3.5 - I can use and create informational text and visual data to compare American Indians and Settlers in early history of Michigan.
H3.7 I can use primary and secondary sources to learn and teach others about the daily life of my tribe.
