Nov 21-23
This week students will be taking his or her post test for the
NBT unit. They have written a goal in their leadership binders. Once the test is graded and returned, they will take this home to share if they acheived the goal or not.
We will then be focusing on Operations and Algebraic thinking for the next several weeks.

Numbers and Base Ten and Order of Operations Continued. . .
Last week we took a quiz on the Order of Operations
We are beginning our study of long division this week and then will take a post test on the unit of NBT. (Numbers and Base Ten) This will take us up through the Thanksgiving break. We will then move onto finishing the last standard within the unit of Operations and Algebraic thinking (finding and decsribing patterns with and without variables and take that post test.
NBT 6 I can divide 4 digit numbers by 1 or 2 digit divendends using standard alogrithm and/or another method that best suits the student (box method)
OA I can
Generate a number or shape pattern that follows a given rule. Identify apparent features of the pattern that were not explicit in the rule itself. For example, given the rule "Add 3" and the starting number 1, generate terms in the resulting sequence and observe that the terms appear to alternate between odd and even numbers. Explain informally why the numbers will continue to alternate in this way.
