Week of Nov 28- Dec 2nd
Last week, our focus was determining and finding both secondary and primary resources. Ask you child to explain the difference to you.
This week, students are wrapping up their google slide presentations and moving into creating and building 3 dimensional models of tribe villages. These models should mainly be worked on in class with group members.
Please help your child by looking around the house to find materials that could be useful with this project and send them in ASAP.
Examples (sticks/twigs for long houses, grass/toothpicks for wigwams, Elemers glue, yards, figurines, etc.)
Keys will be used to explain the materials, therefore it is okay to use materials that are not organic.
Once the models are made, students will begin exploring, comparing, and contrasting the culture of the studied tribe to the Early European Settlers that migrated into these Native American Indian Tribes' territory.
H3.5 - I can use and create informational text and visual data to compare American Indians and Settlers in early history of Michigan.
H3.7 I can use primary and secondary sources to learn and teach others about the daily life of my tribe
