We are beginning our character study. I have introduced the 40 book challenge for this year. Ask your child about it. They will be tracking the books they read in their leadership binder. This can come home at ANY time.

WW WRITERS WORKSHOP- (Students should have decorated their writers notebook by now)
Students have taken a pretest on writing a personal narrative. Based on these results, your child will pick an chosen area to focus on and write an academic goal to focus on for this first quarter as we dive into writing narratives. Ask them to show you their goal in his/her leadership binder.

I can brainstorm special people , places, or moments to help my generate ideas.
I can use a storyteller voice to create scenes using present tense
I can think about my heart of the story when I write.
I can use a mountain arc to help my plan my story
